What's new in Eagle
This release adds more flexibility to the recording notes in Eagle.

Like the other components we've released lately, the "Add Note" popup allows you to add from anywhere, and about anything. It persists as you browse through the software, and can be minimised and maximised.
It also adds the following functionality:
- Add notes on contacts, addresses, listings, appraisals, contracts, projects, invoices
- Log calls and their outcomes - connected, no answer, left voicemail
- Specify whether the note should show on the vendor report
- Attach files to the note
- Create follow up tasks
To try out the new functionality, go to the "New" menu at the top right, and click "New Note"

Firstly, like the other components we've released lately, the "Send Letter" popup allows you to send letters to anyone, from anywhere, and about anything. It persists as you browse through the software, and can be minimised and maximised.
It also adds the following functionality:
- Attach letters to any type of property including drafts and old sold listings
- Log a note on the activity feed that you've sent the letter
- Set a follow up task
- Associate the letter with any data in your database
- Quickly search and find the right template
To try out the new functionality, go to the "New" menu at the top right, and click "Send Letter"

Advanced filtering and ordering on appraisals
As part of the roll out of upgraded filters, we have just released advanced filters and sorting to appraisals so you can drill down your appraisals further with the new advanced filtering logic.
You can apply many filters at once using AND or OR conditions to drill down your results.
For example you could find appraisals assigned to a specific user AND the vendor lives in 'vic' AND the interest level is 'warm' OR the interest level is 'hot', then sort them by 'Interest level'.
Filter appraisals by appraisal details. Examples include:
- Find appraisals with an interest level of hot
- Find appraisals with an asking price above $500,000
- Find appraisals in a specific suburb
- Find appraisals based on properties with air conditioning or ducted heating
Filter appraisals by the prospective vendor details. Examples include:
- Find appraisals where the vendor's email is unknown
- Find appraisals where the vendor lives in a different state
- Find appraisals where the vendor contact record is owned by a specific user
- Find appraisals where the vendor has unsubscribed from bulk emails
Sort filtered results to see relevant results. Examples include:
- Sort appraisals by newest or oldest for when you created them
- Sort appraisals by their interest level
- Sort appraisals based on when the last note was added
- Sort appraisals highest or lowest based on price
Filter appraisals by custom fields
- Find appraisals based on your own custom fields
To start using the new appraisal filters, go to CRM > Appraisals page and click 'Add filter'.
- Quick search box now shows the most relevant property date from sold date, leased date, active date, created date, withdrawn date or off market date.
- Added new Contract sorting. Sort your Contracts from (newest to oldest) or (oldest to newest) by:
- Created date
- Updated date
- Acceptance date
- Deposit date
- Finance date
- Unconditional
- Settlement date

- API upgrades - new endpoints and additional data added to existing endpoints
- Various performance and optimisation improvements, tweaks and bug fixes

Advanced filtering and ordering on contracts
Now you can filter and sort contracts in more ways using advanced logic.
You can apply many filters at once using AND or OR conditions to drill down your results. For example you could find contracts with a 'settlement date after <today's date>' AND 'the listing agent is Mary Smith' OR 'the listing agent is John Smith'.
Filter contracts by key contract dates and due dates. Examples include:
- Find contracts where deposit has not been received
- Find contracts that are not yet unconditional
- Find contracts without a settlement date set
- Find contracts that settled before and/or after a certain date
Sort by contract dates newest or oldest first. Examples include:
- View upcoming deposit due dates
- View upcoming finance due dates
- View upcoming unconditional dates
- View upcoming settlement dates
- View recent settlements
Filter contracts by contract, property, vendor and/or purchaser data fields. Examples include:
- Find all contracts with a specific buyer
- Find all contracts with a specific vendor
- Find all contracts form a specific street, suburb, postcode etc.
Filter contracts on custom fields
- Find contracts based on your own custom fields
To start using the new contract filters, go to CRM > Contracts page and click 'Add filter'.

Mobile app update on iOS and Android
We've just released an update to our iOS and Android apps that will you to enter and view the time that a task should be done. This brings it into line with the updates we made on the web application last week.
To get the latest updates, you can download them from the App Store and Play Store now.

Improvements to search
We've made some improvements to the search functionality in Eagle that will help you find what you're looking for quicker and easier.
When you first click on the search box, you'll see the most recently modified Contacts, Addresses, Listings, Appraisals and Contracts in your database, so that you can quickly jump back into what you were previously working on.
Then, when you start typing, you'll get results across all of your Contacts, Addresses, Listings, Appraisals and Contracts. You can now drill down further into each type, so you can find the right result when you're searching for common names or addresses.
We've also made a variety of visual improvements, so you can see the status of listings, appraisals and contracts to be able to find the one you're interested in.
Try it out! Type your search at the top of the page.

- Updated automation step 'Update Field' so it can now set or clear the suburb of a contact's property preferences. Use this on 'New Incoming Enquiry' or 'Inspection Attendee' automations if you don't want property alerts to match based on suburb.
- Added due time to tasks. Now you can set the date and time a task is due rather than just the date. iOS and Android versions of app updated with task due times. More information here.
- Improved integration functionality with Zapier. Now you can create notes, enquiries, appraisals and update property preferences in Eagle through a Zap. More information here.
- Improvements to the quick search feature. More information here.

We've just updated our Zapier app so that you can now do more things with Zapier.
Zapier is an online automation tool that connects apps, such as Gmail, Office 365, and over 750 more other applications. For more info you can visit Zapier's website here.
With the improved integration, there is a lot more flexibility around what you can do. Some common use cases are:
- Create enquiries in Eagle when someone submits a form on a third party website
- Update custom fields in your contacts from external forms
- Update the property preferences of a contact from external forms
- Create notes in Eagle when various events happen in your other software programs
